Absolutely right. We need to keep our nation's Capitol prettyand wholesome. And I believe I speak for many of our repbulican colleagues when I say, "too many black people around here too."  I just wish there were some way to round up all the ugly people and blacks and gays and put them in some kind of camp.  You know, keep their populations "concentrated."

Yeah, I'm not sure I buy it. Why would the Taliban warn us about these attacks in advance? If they were going to attack, they'd just do it. Doesn't make much sense. This seems like straight-up propogranda.

re: "vaunted," my sarcasm was obviously lost on you...the whole dear colleague system is clearly a huge joke, but every once in a while I receive something that is both timely and worthwhile, which gives me pause about totally removing myself from the distribution list.  The people who send out Dear colleagues bcc, so as to bypass my intricately designed folder system, also chap my ass in a major way.

I can't stand these fricking staffers whose only apparent job is to send out the same dear colleagues incessantly.  How many times do you need to ask if my boss wants to sponsor some stupid resolution that is probably going nowhere?  Moreover, must they insist on including attachments or scanning in an original of the signed dear colleague to let us know it is "legit?"  I get a barrage of 1-6 MB dear colleagues every day after I leave the office, which of course makes me exceed my inbox size limit, prompting even more annoying e-mails.  WTF?  To save the integrity of the vaunted Dear Colleague system, something must be done.

Coulter is an aging cougar for sure, but she doesn't take anything away from anyone, except maybe someone's dignity and self-respect from time to time.  Overall, statistics are hard to argue with and there's maybe 1 moderately attractive D commentator on TV, and those are supposed to be their face-people.    

God bless Dennis Kucinich.  I'm glad someone has the balls to go down to the House floor and defend the much maligned and misunderstood President of Iran, whatever his name is.  Good peeps defending the honor of other good peeps.  That's what it's all about.

I'm just saying that for the most part, Democrats tend to be uglier or ugly people tend to identify more with Democrats.  (Classic chicken-egg scenario).  Probably because ugly people are usually always pissed off and spiteful of people who are successful and attractive and thus try to destroy them by taxing them to death.  They can then define themselves as successful, even though they haven't done anything worthwhile in their pitiful existence except harp about how much America sucks.  And of course they then have even less fortunate people - who they keep in a state of perpetual helplessness - gullibly tell them they are heroes.  Ugly heroes, but at least that's better than nothing.

changeover staff-wise.  The large groups of malcontents parading
around the halls who have made the cafeterias their homes and unusable for
staff are equally harsh on the eyes.  I have a hard time believing that as
much as the Democrats love the trappings of the majority, they wouldn't turn
back the clock to the aesthetic character of the previous Congresses if they
could.
