- Q: What is The Capitolist?
- A: The Capitolist is an anonymous, uncensored message board for congressional staff members. Contributors are welcome to express their views and opinions on congressional affairs, politics or any other subject of interest. We encourage contributors to discuss their first-hand experiences with lawmakers and to report on the events of the day.
- Q. Who can post on The Capitolist?
- A. Anyone can post, as long as they have a Capitol Hill IP address. Congressional staffers who aren't always at a Capitol Hill IP address can gain access by obtaining a temporary access ticket (these can only be obtained when logged in from a Capitol Hill IP address).
- Q. What are the rules?
- A: There are no rules. All we ask is that our contributors remain honest and respectful of one another. Any comment that is discernibly false or inaccurate will be removed from the site.
- Q: Is it really anonymous?
- A: Yes. We don't keep track of IP addresses, email addresses or any other information that could be used to identify a contributor.
- Q. What if a contributor posts something that is false or inaccurate?
- A. Email us. We will look into it, and if the comment is plainly false or inaccurate, then we will take it down.

- A. Write your comment in the box at the top of the main page and click "Submit."
